Pfizer not Concerned if Viagra is Used as Recreational Drug

It has been researched that Viagra is moreover used as a recreational drug and not as drug that is used to treat a health disorder. It has also been seen that Viagra has been increasingly used by men who are below 45 years. Based on the statistics carried on men from the age of 18- 45 years, it was seen that the consumption almost tripled in the years 19998-2002. More than a medication, it can be considered as a drug just like heroin, pot, crack etc.

This makes it evident that Pfizer is not concerned about who uses it or how it is used. Finally any company just thrives on the basis of profit. If Pfizer was actually concerned about the consumption pattern, it would have restricted and put into practice various regulations. Men above 60 using Viagra are justified. But what is the need for an 18 year old guy to consume this pill? Why doesn’t Pfizer analyze about this?

If an 18 year old guy is actually in need of Viagra, then it is a concerning issue. This is because then the physical condition of the youth of today is really in a bad state.

The cigarette manufacturing companies are the ideal example. They have many a times tried to attract the younger men as they would become the lifetime smokers and this indeed would fetch them a lot of money.

At the end of the day, one should be clear that many of the pharmaceutical companies are only bothered about profit and sales rather than the health and safety measures. Wealth over health, is it?
